Limerick PA Wedding | Lydia & Eric
For those of you who don't know, this was my very last foray in the wedding industry and I couldn't have asked for a more PERFECT day and wedding couple to go out with! For the last two years I have been specialized in boudoir and my studio is so busy that it has become the only genre my schedule can accommodate.
I have known Lydia since we were teenagers hanging out at the Hard Bean Cafe in West Reading. Many of our lives moved on after the Hard Bean closed, but I think we all look back to those summers as the days we grew up together. Sitting on the stoop. Midnight hangouts at the diner. Having little concept of why money was important as long as we had enough gas to get to the beach for sunrise. Lydia is one of my fondest friends.
When she came to me last year, I had the absolute pleasure of meeting her fiancé, Eric, for the first time. I knew immediately that he was perfect for her. The laughter between them is what long lasting marriages are made of. I just know that the type of joy they share together will carry them through the rest of their lives. Truly. It is incredible being around two people who radiate so much love for each other.
This wedding was a bit unique due to travel plans I had immediately proceeding the wedding. My best friend, and fellow boudoir photographer, Lindsay Freeman of Lindsay Nicole Studio, was set to make the road trip with me to Ontario, Canada. So, what else would best friends do but shoot a wedding together? :) My other bestie and regular second shooter, Jenna Boyer of Jenna B Photography, was also shooting along side us because it's pretty typical that my wedding clients become pretty smitten with her during their engagement sessions and insist she be second shooter to their big day. <3 For those of you reading this who are in the market for a wedding photographer, Jenna is now contracting her own weddings and she would be my absolute recommendation for your wedding day. After training her on several weddings, I would honestly hire her to shoot my own wedding. That's how much I'm obsessed with her.
Lydia and Eric's families and guests were so wonderful and treated us like part of the family. We had such an incredible day celebrating with these beautiful people. I honestly cannot thank them enough, and the amazing hospitality The Loft at Landis Creek showed us. It was such a beautiful venue. The staff was incredible to work with. Particularly, their coordinator Jean. I love a woman in charge!
In some ways, I will miss the wedding industry. I will miss telling love stories. I want to personally thank Lydia and Eric for invited us to tell their love story, because it is truly a beautiful one. Here are a few of my favorite moments from the day.
